PHILIP MUTZ
(Actor#1, including Young Scrooge & Tiny Tim) --

Theater as Actor # 1 in Season 2007's
A CHRISTMAS CAROL .
However,
he is no stranger to the NJ stage, having recently appeared as
Horace in Moliere's
SCHOOL FOR WIVES (Centenary Stage;)
and Snout in
A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM,
Orleans in
HENRY V, and the
Soothsayer in
CYMBELINE (Shakespeare Theatre of NJ). Other recent credits
include Puck in
A MIDSUMMMER NIGHT'S DREAM and
The
Maniac in
ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN ANARCHIST
(Burning Coal Theatre Co., Raleigh NC;) Cliff in CABARET
(Middleton Players, Madison WI) and Josh
in his original play KIDNAPPING LAURA LINNEY
(Stella Adler Studios, NYC). Mr. Mutz holds a BFA in Drama from
the NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and currently resides/waits tables in NYC.

BILL EDWARDS*(Actor#2, including Marley & Bob Cratchit) --
returns to Tri-State in
A
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
for his third year
following his performances this season as
Sir Andrew Aquecheek in Shakespeare's
TWELFTH NIGHT
and ten hilarious roles in
GREATER TUNA. Besides A
CHRISTMAS CAROL in 2006 Mr. Edwards also starred as
Michael in the comedy,
ROUNDING THIRD. A member of Actors Equity Association and Screen
Actors Guild, Mr. Edwards has performed in many kinds of venues. He
was featured in the Bickford Theatre's(Morristown) recent CATCH ME IF YOU
CAN and in SYLVIA, at the
Magnet Theater in the modern classic, WINTER SET, and in Living Arts
Repertory's production of the well-known American play, THE PHILADELPHIA
STORY. He has performed with many improv and interactive companies,
including the New York Renaissance Faire, Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia, Historic
Philadelphia, and the Vaudeville troupe, THE GOLDEN AGE. His film
credits include MAID IN MANHATTAN. Mr. Edwards is happy to be a part
of Tri-State's
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
for a third season.

CLARK GOOKIN
(Actor#3, including Fred & Christmas Present) --
appeared for the first time with Tri-State Actors
Theater as Actor # 1 in Season 2005's
A CHRISTMAS CAROL.
He returned for the 2006 production in the same
roles, but comes back this season in the roles for Actor #3.
Prior to his return in A CHRISTMAS CAROL Mr. Gookin starred as Feste in
Tri-State's acclaimed production of Shakespeare's
TWELFTH NIGHT
this season. He has also performed the role of
Antal Medve("Brown") in the staged reading of Anne Phelan's new play,
GEOGRAPHY(2006), in Tri-State's NEW PLAYS READINGS SERIES. A native of
Colorado, Mr. Gookin earned his Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from Mason Gross
School of The Arts, Rutgers, where he appeared in TARTUFFE, THE
STONEWATER RAPTURE, AM I BLUE, THE 1940'S RADIO HOUR, and
THE RUNNER STUMBLES. Other credits include roles in COLORADO
QUICKIES and THE COUNTRY CLUB. He was Hastings in SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER,
and a featured performer in
TARTUFFE both for Centenary Stage. Mr. Gookin is a member of Actors Equity
Association. |

JENELLE SOSA (Actor
4, including Fan and Belle)--
returns to Tri-State as Belle and
others in
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
after appearing in
this season’s critically acclaimed
TWELFTH NIGHT(Maria).

Sophie), THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH (Gladys), and THE LADY
IN QUESTION (Heidi) at The Theater Project, THE LIFE AND TALES
OF EDGAR ALLAN POE with Castle Shakespeare Rep (Virginia Poe/Madeline
Usher), ROMEO AND JULIET at Hudson Shakespeare Company (Juliet),
TWELFTH NIGHT with Renaissance Entertainment (Viola),
PASSION PLAY: THE MUSICAL at the Park Theater (Mary Magdalene),
CHRISTMAS IN GREENWICH VILLAGE at TSI Playhouse New York (Fate),
and three years in the performance company of the New York Renaissance

SARAH KOESTNER* (Actor #5, including Christmas Past and Mrs. Cratchit)-- Making her debut in Chris Schario's adaptation of Dickens'
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
in 2007, Ms. Koestner is thrilled to be a part of Tri-State Actors Theater. She
was last seen as part of the New York International Theatre Festival in POKER
FACE at the Barrow Theatre. Other New York Credits include: A NIGHT OF
KEN URBAN, SNOW WHITE, OTHELLO, ROMEO AND JULIET and IMITATE THE SUN.
Regionally she has been seen in THE MAIDS, SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER, A MONTH
OF SUNDAYS, and various roles in the national tour of CURIOUS GEORGE
with TheatreworksUSA. Film credits include: PROJECT FORESIGHT, LEAVES ME
ALONE and SHANE SOARES. She earned her MFA at Rutgers University
with William Esper and her BFA from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.

PAUL
MEACHAM* (Scrooge)-- Mr. Meacham returns as
Scrooge in 2007 for the fourth season and will direct the 2007 holiday
production of
A CHRISTMAS CAROL.
He is the founder
and artistic
director of Tri-State Actors Theater, most recently directing Tri-State's
acclaimed production of
THE PRICE. Mr. Meacham performed
Off-Broadway with Frank Langella and Diane Wiest in Arthur Miller's
AFTER
THE FALL;
as Teddy Roosevelt in
FIGHTING BOB, which he also produced; in
the long-running hit, THE PASSION OF DRACULA; and was a member
of the acting company of the Classic Stage Company (two years), playing
featured roles in TWELFTH NIGHT, THE TEMPEST, THE HOMECOMING, THE LADY'S
NOT FOR BURNING, WOYZECK, ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDERNSTERN ARE DEAD and
others. He was a founding member of the innovative WPA Theater, where he
acted and directed for five seasons including directing the musical,
CHARLATANS,
for
which he wrote the book and lyrics, and Tevia Abrams' AND NO CEREMONY.
On television, he has appeared in commercials and on "soaps," including
ONE
LIFE TO LIVE and ALL MY CHILDREN. He adapted and produced
Edgar Allen Poe's WILLIAM WILSON for public television. His films
include HOODLUMS; PRINCE OF THE CITY; THE EYES OF LAURA
MARS, THE GATE and others. He has performed coast to coast in
regional theaters including Milwaukee Repertory Theater [three years] (FIGHTING
BOB,
the premiere of David Mamet's LAKE BOAT, A CHRISTMAS
CAROL, CYRANO DE BERGERAC, BORN YESTERDAY); Barter Theater (YOU
CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU); Pennsylvania Stage (EQUUS);
Cohoes Music Hall (two years) (LIFE with FATHER, DEATH OF A SALESMAN, OF MICE AND
MEN, BLITHE SPIRIT, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST); George Street Playhouse
(COUNT
DRACULA, MRS. WARREN'S PROFESSION); Virginia Stage (THE CRUCIBLE,
A CHRISTMAS CAROL); Missouri Repertory Theater (SIXTEEN STRINGS

LAST MISSION by Tevia Abrams in season 2001.
He has staged many productions for Tri-State in its twenty years,
including all of Season 2006and 2007.
He directed the world
professional premieres of Sean O'Leary's
RAIN IN THE HOLLOWS, Tevia Abrams' THE
VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR, and Judylee Oliva's
ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR.
He was the featured performer in Tri-State's solo reading of Dickens'
A
CHRISTMAS CAROL
in the 2004 holiday season.
He
began TAT's New Plays Reading Series in 2000, and has appeared in and directed many play-readings for
the Series. Mr. Meacham is a member of Actors
Equity Association, AFTRA, and Screen Actors Guild. He is
proud that Tri-State Actors Theater is a vital part of the Sussex
renaissance. |
