FELICIA BERTCH (Helena)--will portray Helena in Season 2005's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM by William Shakespeare. Ms. Bertch is pleased to be making her New Jersey theater debut with Tri-State Actors Theater. Based in New York, Felicia is a co-founder of The Trapdoor Theatre Company, a movement centered troupe originating and performing clown pieces. With them she has performed in THE SHOWDOWN and WILDE, WILDE WEST. Other favorite roles include Annie in SPRING DANCE, Clara in THE BOYS NEXT DOOR, and April in SAVAGE IN LIMBO. Special thanks to the wonderful web of Worklouts, 448, and “Kate’s Family” who have all made this possible.
SUZANNE HAYES*(Hippolyta/Titania)-- will perform as Titania and Hippolyta in Tri-State Actors Theater's  A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, by William Shakespeare, the first professional production of the Bard ever presented in Sussex County and our region. Ms. Hayes appeared for the first time at Tri-State Actors Theater as Louise in the hit musical, ALWAYS ... PATSY CLINE. Following her debut, she joined the company in the concert reading of Jay Boyer's FOR SOME REASON COMMA SHE LAUGHED. Ms. Hayes was born and raised in Texas, got her acting training at Circle in the Square in New York City and now makes her home there with her filmmaker husband, Michael, and their two dogs and two cats. Favorite roles include Essie in YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, Gwendolyn in THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, Olivia in TWELFTH NIGHT and Trinculo in THE TEMPEST. Most recently , she played Henry VI in HENRY VI, Parts 1, 2, & 3 for Judith Shakespeare at the Jose Quintero Theatre as well as appearing in VITAL SIGNS, the one-act festival of plays at the Vital Theater Co., NYC.. She received a Best Actress Award at the 2000 Brooklyn Film Festival for THE SPIRAL, directed by her husband, Michael. She has also been seen in numerous commercials over the years and is thrilled to be doing Louise here at Tri-State Actor's Theatre. *Ms. Hayes is a member of Actors Equity Association.

WAYNE HU (Demetrius)-- plays Demetrius in Season 2005's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM.. Mr. Hu is making his debut with Tri-State. A member of the American Guild of Musical Artists, he is currently in his last semester of college as a music major. In addition to his collegiate performances, he ahs also appeared with professional and regional opera companies and theaters such as The Opera Company of Philadelphia, Opera North, and Metropolitan Lyric Theatre of NJ. His musical theatre roles include the Pirate King in THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, Fred Graham/Petruchio in KISS ME KATE, the Prince in CINDERELLA and title roles in THE KING & I and BEAUTY & THE BEAST. On the operatic stage he has sung Horace Tabor in THE BALLAD OF BABY DOE, the Marquis d’Obigny in LA TRAVIATE, and was recently seen as Gregorio in Gounod’s ROMEO AND JULIETTE and Starveling in Britten’s A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM at the Lebanon Opera House in New Hampshire.

JENNIFER KLEIN (Hermia)-- is featured as Hermia in Season 2005's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, by William Shakespeare, the first professional production of the Bard ever presented in Sussex County and our region. She is grateful for the opportunity to play such a “little” but “fierce” role. She has performed at various regional and NYC theaters, including the Williamstown Theatre Festival, the McCarter Theatre, HERE, NY Fringe and La Mama. Jennifer’s third publicly performed one-woman cabaret SWF SEEKING… ran to sold-out audiences at midtown’s Don’t Tell Mama. As always, love to her family. MARK LIGHT-ORR*(Theseus/Oberon)-- An Equity member, Mr. Light-Orr joins Tri-State Actors professional company for the first time as both Oberon and Theseus in Season 2005's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, by William Shakespeare, the first professional production of the bard ever presented in Sussex County and our region. Mr. Light-Orr holds a Bachelors Degree in Music from Boston University and an MFA in Theater from Penn State. His New York credits include work at the Ensemble Studio Theater, Expanded Arts, ASCAP, and the Women’s Project & Production Directors Lab. His regional credits include Milwaukee Repertory Theater, two seasons at the Utah Shakespearean Festival, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, the Fulton Opera House, and South Carolina Repertory Company. Mark played Charlie Cowell (and understudied Harold Hill) in the national tour of Susan Stroman’s revival of THE MUSIC MAN. He has also appeared in several independent films, including the upcoming THE YELLOW WALLPAPER and TUS OJOS GRITAN.

JOE LITRENTA (Robin Starveling, the Tailor/Peaseblossom)-- Joined Tri-State Actors Theater in his first stage appearance ever as the Third Man in the history-making play, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK. Mr. Li Trenta is a full-time electronic music artist, with a catalog of over 400 songs. Mr. LiTrenta returns to Tri-State in the dual roles of Robin Starveling, the Tailor and Peaseblossom in Season 2005's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, by William Shakespeare, the first professional production of the Bard ever presented in Sussex County and our region.

BRIAN MASLOW*(Peter Quince/Cobweb)--  returns to Tri-State Actors Theater in Season 2005 to play the dual roles of Peter Quince and Cobweb in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, by William Shakespeare, the first professional production of the bard ever presented in Sussex County and our region. He was last seen in Season 2004 as Renfield on the main stage in THE PASSION OF DRACULA Earlier in the season he played Peter Van Daan in THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, and appeared as Andy in the new play, NONPROFIT in Tri-State's New Plays Reading Series.   Mr. Maslow made his first stage appearance with Tri-State Actors Theater as Bob Ewell in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD in 2003. He recently appeared in Centenary Stage Co.'s Production of ANOTHER ANTIGONE.  He graduated from the Mason Gross School of the Arts with a BM in music performance. Mr. Maslow also studied acting at the Stella Adler Conservtory and The School for Film and TV in NYC. Most recently, he worked in the feature film MONA LISA SMILE starring Julia Roberts, Kirsten Dunst and Julia Stiles as well as the STEPFORD WIVES with Nicole Kidman. He is a resident of Byram and is a member of Actors Equity Association
DANIEL MINTZ (Actor)--is making his debut in the dual roles of Tom Snout and Moth in Tri-State's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, by William Shakespeare, the first professional production of the Bard ever presented in Sussex County and our region.. Mr. Mintz  has performed in several shows at The Growing Stage Theater, as well as his old high school, Lenape Valley. He is a recent graduate of Georgetown University, holding degrees in mathematics and the classics. He would like to thank his parents for not making him cut his hair and get a real job (yet).

MICHAEL NATHANSON* (Puck, Philostrate)-- joins Tri-State Actors' professional company for the first times as Robin Goodfellow(Puck) and Philostrate in Season 2005's ground-breaking A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, by William Shakespeare. Mr. Nathanson graduated from the theater program at Northwestern University and also studied at RADA in London. He has performed at numerous theaters in and around New York including Lincoln Center, Hangar Theater, Ensemble Studio Theater, Playwrights Horizons, The Neighborhood Playhouse, Guild Hall in East Hampton, New Jersey Rep, The InterAct Theater in Philadelphia, NY Fringe Festival 2004, and the River Rep in Connecticut. He has also performed in over 30 shows around Off and Off-Off Broadway in the past four years, including TAMING OF THE SHREW in Central Park, Charles Ludlam’s STAGE BLOOD at the John Houseman Theater, and GOD AND MR. SMITH at the Mint Theater. Film and TV work includes: GUIDING LIGHT, COUCH CONFESSIONS (a web series with Tovah Feldshuh), SEX AND THE CITY, the PBS documentary TRADING WOMEN with Angelina Jolie and several independent films. Mr. Nathanson is a company member of New Jersey Rep and 12 Miles West Theater. In June 2005, he will play the title role in HAMLET at Guild Hall in East Hampton. Mr. Nathanson is represented by Judy Boals, Inc. in NYC.

JIM OPFER (Egeus)-- resides in Glenwood, NJ with his wife Eileen and such ever of his five children as may be in residence at any given time. Mr. Opfer will play Egeus in Tri-State's ground-breaking production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, by William Shakespeare, to open Season 2005. His portrayal of Mr. Kraler in 2004's THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK marked his first performance at TAT. He has played varied roles in the past including parts in YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU, SUMMER AND SMOKE, LI’L ABNER, OLIVER, DAMN YANKEES, CAMELOT, A FEW GOOD MEN, MUSIC MAN, FIORELLO, FORUM, and FIDDLER. When not practicing his part, he can be found practicing law in Vernon Township.

KEVIN SNYDER (Francis Flute, Fairy)--will play the dual roles of Francis Flute, the bellows mender and Mustarseed in Tri-State's ground-breaking production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, by William Shakespeare.is happy to be returning to Tri-State for the first time as a member of the professional company. He was a member of Tri-State’s 2004 Student Intern Company and performed in THE LITTLE MERMAID and SKUPPER DUPPERS. The cast was reunited on March 5 for two performances of THE LITTLE MERMAID as part of Family Week at the Theater. Previously, he has appeared in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN, and GODSPELL. Kevin lives in Sparta with his wonderful Mom, awesome Dad, two crazy brothers and one lovely sister. He would also like to thank them for all of their support.

DAVID B. SOCHET* (Lysander)-- performs the role of Lysander in Tri-State's ground-breaking production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, by William Shakespeare, to open Season 2005. He first played the role of Lysander at age 10 and his girlfriend, Shasta, played Hermia. Professional theater experience includes playing Mercutio in ROMEO AND JULIET for Shakespeare in the Borough/The Public Theater. Other theater credits includes MARAT/SADE at Williamstown Theatre Festival, MONSOON CHRISTMAS for the Kravis Center(Florida) Center, A PUFF OF SMOKE for Playwrights Horizon, and appearances at the Harold Clurman. Mr. Sochet is a member of Actors Equity Association.
DAVID VOLIN*(Bottom)-- marks his 6th production with Tri-State in the theater's  ground-breaking 2005 production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. He was featured in the hilarious THE COMPLEAT WORKS OF WLLM SHKSPR, Abridged for Season 2004.  A member of Actors’ Equity Association, Mr. Volin joined Tri-State Actors Theater’s acting company in 2001 with featured roles in two productions - Jason Maxwell in ERICA’S LAST MISSION by Tevia Abrams and all the Male Roles in ON THE VERGE, or The Geography of Yearning. In 2002, he appeared as Marc in TAT’s production of the award-winning comedy-drama, ART, and returned in Season 2003 as Saul in the premiere of THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR. Most recently David was seen as Charlie in the Women's Theatre Company's production of DIRTY BLONDE. Regional credits include appearences in MOLL at the Walnut Street Theatre, and LOST IN YONKERS at The Theater Project.  Mr. Volin was seen in THE COMMEDIA PINOCCHIO  and TALES FROM THE GARDEN at The Growing Stage, rogerandtom at Personal Space Theatrics in NYC, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM at Holmdel Theatre Company, RAFT OF THE MEDUSA and A LARAMIE PROJECT at New Jersey Repertory Company, TRANSLATIONS and THE MOUSETRAP at Shadow Lawn Summer Stage, A& E the MYTH at the NY International Fringe Festival,  COCK and BULL STORY with White Buffalo Theatre Company, and a two month residency with the Bloomsberg Theatre Ensemble performing in ARCADIA by Tom Stoppard.
 
ERIC EMMANUEL WILSON (Snug, Fairy)-- will appear in the dual roles of Snug, the Joiner and the First Fairy  in Tri-State's ground-breaking production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, by William Shakespeare, to open Season 2005.  Mr. Wilson is proud to make his debut with  Tri-State in the season opener. Past roles include: Aaron the Moor in Shakespeare's TITUS ANDRONICUS,  the title role in OTHELLO and as Lady Anne in the bard's RICHARD III.. Eric attended Hofstra University where he received in BFA in 2003 and studied at the Actors Center Conservatory in NYC. He would like to thank God, his family and friends for their constant love and support.

PAUL MEACHAM* (Director)--pmeacham is the founder and artistic director of TRI-STATE ACTORS THEATER.  He directed the world professional premiere of Sean O'Leary's RAIN IN THE HOLLOWS and the ever-popular THE COMPLEAT WORKS OF WLLM SKSPR, abridged , during Season 2004; and was the featured performer in Tri-State's solo reading of Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL in the holiday season.  In past seasons, he has directed Brian Friel's DANCING AT LUGHNASA, MARVIN'S ROOM, Tennessee Williams' THE GLASS MENAGERIE, I HATE HAMLET, Dicken's A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Edward Albee's THREE TALL WOMEN, Donald Margulies' COLLECTED STORIES, the musical adaptation of Robert Fulghum's ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN, season 2001's THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE and ON THE VERGE; 2002's TALLEY'S FOLLY and Judilee Oliva's ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR.  He has staged many children's musicals, including WINNIE THE POOH, CHARLOTTE'S WEB and THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS. During Season 2003, he directed TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, ALWAYS . . . PATSY CLINE, and THE VIEW FROM HARRY'S BAR and co-directed both children's plays with Liz Proepper, the Director of Intern Programs for TAT. Mr. Meacham performed Off-Broadway with Frank Langella and Diane Wiest in Arthur Miller's AFTER THE FALL; as Teddy Roosevelt in FIGHTING BOB, which he also produced; in the long-running hit, THE PASSION OF DRACULA; and was a member of the acting company of the Classic Stage Company (two years), playing featured roles in TWELFTH NIGHT, THE TEMPEST, THE HOMECOMING, THE LADY'S NOT FOR BURNING, WOYZECK, ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDERNSTERN ARE DEAD and others. He was a founding member of the innovative WPA Theater, where he acted and directed for five seasons including directing the musical, CHARLATANS, for which he wrote the book and lyrics, and Tevia Abrams' AND NO CEREMONY. On television, he has appeared in commercials and on "soaps," including ONE LIFE TO LIVE and ALL MY CHILDREN. He adapted and produced Edgar Allen Poe's WILLIAM WILSON for public television. His films include HOODLUMS; PRINCE OF THE CITY; THE EYES OF LAURA MARS, THE GATE and others.  He has performed coast to coast in regional theaters including Milwaukee Repertory Theater [three years] (FIGHTING BOB, the premiere of David Mamet's LAKE BOAT, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, CYRANO DE BERGERAC, BORN YESTERDAY); Barter Theater (YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU); Pennsylvania Stage (EQUUS); Cohoes Music Hall (two years) (DEATH OF A SALESMAN, OF MICE AND MEN, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST); George Street Playhouse (COUNT DRACULA, MRS. WARREN'S PROFESSION); Virginia Stage (THE CRUCIBLE, A CHRISTMAS CAROL); Missouri Repertory Theater (SIXTEEN STRINGS OF CASH, a 6th century Chinese opera directed by the renowned Chinese actor and director, Yeng Ruo-Ching); and New Jersey Shakespeare Festival (TROILUS AND CRESSIDA, A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR, HENRY VIII).  Since founding Tri-State Actors Theater in 1988, he has appeared as John Barrymore in I HATE HAMLET, was the Narrator in  A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and  was Stanley in the world premiere of ERICA'S LAST MISSION  by Tevia Abrams, in season 2001. He  began TAT's New Plays Reading Series in 2000, and has appeared in and directed many play-readings for the  Series. Mr. Meacham is a member of Actors Equity Association, AFTRA, and Screen Actors Guild.
