LAUREN DEVORE
(Juliet)--returning
to the professional acting company as Juliet in season 2010's
ROMEO & JULIET. She made her
professional debut in Tri-State's
THE WOMAN IN BLACK, playing the ghostly
title role. Ms. DeVore has been training and performing with the Tri-State
Actors Theater since 2005. Her intern performances include the title role
in
WINNIE THE POOH, the Snow Queen in
THE LION, THE WITCH, AND
THE WARDROBE, Templeton the Rat in
CHARLOTTE'S WEB and
most Straucey, the Milkmaid, and Juno in
THE FANTASTIC RETURN OF THE FABULOUS FABLE FACTORY.
As a student at Wallkill Valley Regional High School, she has appeared in
several productions, including FAME, GUYS AND DOLLS, ANNIE, DAMN YANKEES, PETER PAN,
and ROBIN HOOD. Ms. DeVore is
a life-long dancer and visual artist and continues to study acting. She
thanks Tri-State and the staff for being her theater family over the years. |
JON DRAGON (Balthazar)--
performing
for the first time with the professional acting company as Balthazar
in Tri-State's 2010 ROMEO & JULIET. In his fifth season as a youth
intern with Tri-State, Jon has worked on and performed with the Intern
Company in several production including
WINNIE THE POOH,
CHARLOTTE'S WEB,
and THE FANTASTIC RETURN OF THE FABULOUS FABLE FACTORY. He assists with
Children's acting classes and studies theater and acting with Paul
Meacham, Tri-State's artistic director. |
JOHN HASTIE (Romeo)-- Makes
his debut at Tri-State with the professional company as Romeo in 2010's
ROMEO & JULIET. He is a senior at Pope John High School in
Sparta, NJ, and was a featured performer in Pope John's productions of the
muscial, LES MISERABLES, and TWELVE ANGRY MEN. He plans to continue
his study of theater and performance in college and will study with
Tara Bowles at Tri-State Actors Theater. |
MARY
ANN HAY* (Nurse)-- returns to the Tri-State
stage as the Nurse in 2010's ROMEO & JULIET. She was Amanda in Tennessee Williams'
THE GLASS MENAGERIE
in 2008.
Audiences will remember Ms.

Ms. Hay has appeared often in Tri-State's New Plays Reading Series,
performing in the new plays HANDICAPPING, THE LOGIC OF REASON
and NON-PROFIT. Some other
credits are Gram in WALK TWO MOONS, the first National Company of
Evita directed by Harold Prince and the last National Company of A
Chorus Line directed by Michael Bennett. She played
Popeye in THE MISS
FIRECRACKER CONTEST; Minnie Fay in THE MATCHMAKER and Agnes
in GEORGE M! as well as
many parts in many other musicals. She just completed principal work as
Myrtle in the film SHOPPING, Mary Anne in WE'VE ONLY JUST
BEGUN and has had many other roles in theatre, film, TV and commercials.
She has also recently directed ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, JR, MUSIC MAN, JR.,
GUY & DOLLS, JR, ANNIE, JR. and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, JR.
in collaboration with ArtsConnection and Music Theatre International in New York
City. She is a member of SAG, AFTRA,
AEA, Theatre Artists Workshop of Westport and Polaris North in New
York
City. |
ROBERT HEFLEY* (Lord Capulet)--
is
making his first appearance with Tri-State as Lord Capulet in
ROMEO & JULIET. He recently played the title role in NATHAN THE
WISE for the Pearl Theatre Company in New York City. Regional credits
include the Alley Theatre, Houston; Tennessee Rep, Nashville; Theatre
Virginia, Richmond; New Harmony Theatre, Indiana; Florida Shakespeare
Festival, Miami; California Repertory Company, Los Angeles; Banyan Theater
Company, Sarasota, Florida, and Classic Theatre International in Germany,
Austria and Switzerland. He received the Detroit Free-Press Best
Supporting Actor Award for playing Ralph Nickleby in NICHOLAS
NICKLEBY. Television credits include UNSOLVED MYSTERIES, the
title role in SPEAKING OF SHAKESPEARE, and voiceovers for ABC
SPORTS. Member of Actors’ Equity, the Screen Actors Guild, and the
American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. |
IAN HEITZMAN (Friar Lawrence)-- joins
Tri-State for the first time as Friar Lawrence in 2010's ROMEO & JULIET.
Mr. Heitzman has been acting since high school. A graduate of Le Moyne
college in Theatre Arts, he has performed in New York for the past three
years. His performances include Elbow in Shakespeare's MEASURE FOR
MEASURE and a recent reading of a new version of DRACULA. He is
proud to be working with the acting company and looks forward to a great
run. |
JONATHAN HOLTZMAN* (Mercutio)-- Joins
Tri-State for the first time as Mercutio in 2010's ROMEO & JULIET, and is
thrilled to be making my debut at Tri-State with such a talented ensemble.

CATHERINE
KEDALA (Livia)--
Catherine Kedala is
appearing for the first time at Tri-State Actors Theater as Livia
in 2010's ROMEO & JULIET. She attends High Point Regional High
School and has performed in their productions of DAMN YANKEES, ANNIE,
STAGE DOOR, THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER, and most recently,
CINDERELLA. Ms. Kedala also dances outside of school at High Pointe
Dance Centre and has studied ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and modern dance
most of her life. She also participates in County, Region, and All-State
Choirs. |
JAMES ROBERT LUDLUM (Peter/Watchman)--
Making
his debut as Peter in Tri-State's 2010 ROMEO AND JULIET, Mr.
Ludlum is both an actor and singer, having appeared as Willie Conklin
in RAGTIME (Montclair Operetta Club), Gremio in KISS ME
KATE, Sparky in FOREVER PLAID, Herr Zeller in
THE SOUND OF MUSIC, and the Constable in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF
(Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre.) He was Don Adriano de Armado in
LOVE’S LABORS LOST, Jud Fry in OKLAHOMA, and
Augustin Ferraillon in A FLEA IN HER EAR among others. Mr.
Ludlum is a recognized Actor Combatant by the SAFD and was Assistant to
Fight Master Michael Chin at Pace University and Muhlenberg College. Mr.
Ludlum plays many instruments and is a graduate in Theatre and music from
Muhlenberg College. |
CONNOR LYNCH (Abram/Watchman/Friar John)--
is
making his first appearance with Tri-State Actors Theater as Abram and
other characters in 2010's ROMEO & JULIET. Mr. Lynch
is
currently a senior at Pope John XXIII High School and is an active member
of the drama program there having played roles in the school’s productions
of LES MISERABLES,TWELVE ANGRY MEN, and FOOTLOOSE.
Connor will be attending Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia next
fall as a history major. |
PATRICK MCANDREW (Benvolio/Apothecary)--
is excited to be making his Tri-State Actor’s Theatre debut as Benvolio
and the Apothecary in 2010's ROMEO & JULIET. Previous credits include
Mr. Mcandrew's appearances with the Red Bull Theatre, McCarter Theatre,
Shakespeare Theatre Company and The Folger Theatre. Patrick would like to
thank Tri-State Actors Theater for this opportunity. |

TED ODELL (Prince
of Verona/Chorus)-- |
SAM PARROTT (Paris)--
Romeo and Juliet marks Mr. Parrott's debut performance(as Paris) at
the Tri-State Actors Theatre. Sam recently portrayed Pericles at
Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, MA, where he will be returning this
summer to perform in A COMEDY OF ERRORS.
A graduate of Skidmore College, favorite roles include
Green/Exton
in RICHARD II
and Sinbad Sailors/Mr. Pugh
in UNDER MILKWOOD.
Sam has also performed in the NYC Fringe Festival in LYSISTRATAand the NYC
Frigid Festival in MEDEA. |
NIKKI PRIMO (Rosaline)--
is
making her debut as Rosaline in 2010's ROMEO & JULIET.
Nicole"Nikki"Primo has been dancing for 18 years at the Branchville Dance
Centre, where she is currently a teacher. She is a graduate of County
College of Morris with an Associates Degree of Fine Arts of Dance. Nicole
is trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, and
Contemporary. She is also a member of the Garden State Dance Project, a
professional contemporary dance company. |

JENELLE
SOSA (Lady Capulet )-- |
PAUL TRACY (Lord Montague)--
plays
the character of Lord Montague in ROMEO & JULIET in
his first appearance with Tri-State.
Mr.
Tracy is a veteran of the theater having worked on stage and behind the
scenes for 60 years, from off-Broadway to various stages in New Jersey. He
started out watching his theatrical family, spent summers in “stock” and
several summers at the Seton Hall Rep company under the direction of Gil
Rathbun. Paul’s favorite role was Erronius in the Cornerstone
Playhouse production of A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM.
