ELLEN LINDSAY* (the Governess)-- joins Tri-State as the Governess in THE TURN OF THE SCREW.  Credits include River City Repertory Theatre's THE GLASS MENAGERIE as Laura opposite Tony award winner Donna McKechnie, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC as Anne (RCRT), Bertha in Strindberg's THE FATHER, Angelique in Moliere's THE IMAGINARY INVALID, and Carrie in CAROUSEL at The Monomoy Theatre. Ms. Lindsay was Catherine in the Sackett Group's production of SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER, Popova in Chekhov's THE BEAR with Watchdog Theatre Company, and Johanna in SWEENEY TODD at the Gloria Maddox Theatre. Other roles include Sara in THE PLAYBOY of the WESTERN WORLD, Cinderella in INTO THE WOODS, Eliza in MY FAIR LADY, Philia in A FUNNY THING...FORUM, Martha in THE SECRET GARDEN, Hero in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, Ophelia in HAMLET, and Julia in Sheridan's THE RIVALS. . Ms. Lindsay recently premiered her one woman show which she wrote entitled, RUN FAST THE FIRE, at the Midtown International Theatre Festival in New York.  She received her B.A. in Theatre from Tulane University and her M.F.A. in Acting from Louisiana State University. She is a proud member of Actors Equity Association and Screen Actors Guild. She would like to thank her family for their love and support.

JASON GUY *(the Man, Mrs. Grose, Miles)-- makes his debut with Tri-State in THE TURN OF THE SCREW. Jason has traveled to three continents, eleven countries, and 49 of the United States performing in a wide range of classics, musicals, and modern plays. He was poisoned (Hamlet) and beaten (Malvolio) for the National Shakespeare Co., betrayed (Brutus) and beheaded (Buckingham) at American Shakespeare Center, and murdered (Banquo) and flogged (twice - as both Dromio's) at Shakespeare on the Hudson and Hamptons Shakespeare Festival, respectively. Turning to musicals in hopes of lighter fare, he was soaked nightly playing Gene Kelly's Don Lockwood in the National Tour of SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, fired daily in the European Tour of 42nd STREET, and punched repeatedly as Action in WEST SIDE STORY. He traveled to Korea with a production of ANNIE, where the only horrible thing that happened was sold out audiences and added performances. Recently, he appeared as Bartlett in the Flea Theater's long-running BACK OF THE THROAT in which he got to do all of the above atrocities to someone else. He is a member of Actors Equity Association.

KAREN SWEENEY* (Stage Manager)-- joins Tri-State for the first time as Stage Manager for 2009's  THE TURN OF THE SCREW.   She staged managed and was property master for THE TALE OF THE GOOD WHISTLEBLOWER at the Brick Theatre in Williamsburg and for Theatre Askew as well as their production of CORNBURY, THE QUEEN'S GOVERNOR. As a lighting designer, Karen has worked with Out of the Box Theatre Company designing lights and props for THE MISER and TEN NIGHTS IN THE BARROOM.  Other lighting projects include COVER ME: A NIGHT OF ONE-ACTS, TAM LIN, DEFINE HAPPINESS and HAY FEVER.  As an actor, she appeared in A ROYAL MESS, HAY FEVER, TAM LIN, RICHARD III, A LIE OF THE MIND, KING LEAR and many others.  Most recently, Ms. Sweeney was Bertha in HELLO FROM BERTHA for Out of the Box Theatre Company.  Karen holds an MFA from the Catholic University of America and is a member of Actors Equity Association.
