ARTISTS' BIOGRAPHIES

JEANNE L. AUSTIN (Jeanne)-- photo Ms. Austin, a member of Actors’ Equity Assoc., returns to TAT for a fifth season. Ms. Austin was “Ruth” in Season 2000's opener COLLECTED STORIES. Other TAT productions include Edward Albee’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, THREE TALL WOMEN (A), THE GLASS MENAGERIE ( Amanda), (Aunt Ruth) MARVIN'S ROOM and (Maggie)DANCING AT LUGHNASA, also directed by Paul Meacham. She has appeared in regional, stock and dinner theaters in roles ranging from Rosalind in AS YOU LIKE IT to Big Mama in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF. A member of SAG and AFTRA, Ms. Austin has made radio and television commercials, was in the TV mini-series WOMEN IN WHITE, and had featured roles in the motion pictures THE FUNHOUSE, STUCKEY'S LAST STAND, and MOTHER AND CHILD. During the school year, she is the troupe trainer and performs as a puppeteer with an educational puppet troupe, KIDS ON THE BLOCK. Ms. Austin also directs the One Accord Choir, a vocal ensemble of developmentally disabled adults sponsored by SCARC. Since 1984, Ms. Austin has been producing one-woman plays under the name HerStory Productions, based on the lives of historic women, and most recently, WE LIVE BY THE WHISTLE, commissioned by the Sterling Hill Mining Museum. Ms. Austin and her husband live in Augusta, NJ, where they are restoring a 19th century farmhouse and tending a herd of cashmere goats.
FRANK ARVIZZIGNO(Frank)--has just finished his sophomore year as a theater major at Allentown College. He has appeared in many performances there, including the Act I productions of EVITA and ON THE THIRD DAY. He also played “Oscar” in Act II’s studio production of LOUDER I CAN'T HEAR YOU and “Joey” in LEON AND JOEY. Last summer, Mr. Arvizzigno returned to TAT as a member of Tri-State's Professional Company in THE COMPLEAT WORKS OF WLLM SKSPR (abridged). As an TAT intern he played featured roles in musical adaptations of CHARLOTTE'S WEB (Templeton the Rat) and WINNIE THE POOH (Eeyore). He has played “Andrew Aquecheek” in TWELFTH NIGHT, “Billy” in ANYTHING GOES, and was the soulful voice of Audrey II in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. A graduate of Wallkill Valley RHS, he performed in mainstage productions with WV's Ranger Repertory Theater, and acted many roles for multiple seasons in the annual Wallkill Valley Young Playwrights Festival. He is a lifetime member of the International Thespian Society. Mr Arvizzigno has studied acting under Paul Meacham, Dennis Razzi, and Dennis Klieg, and
voice with David Scott.
GREGORY GIBLIN (Greg)-- greggiblin has performed as part of many singing groups and has worked on numerous musicals and plays throughout the Northeast and the Midwest since the mid 1960’s. His most memorable performances were the jazz masses performed with Duke Ellington in 1968 and 1969 and touring with Jimmy Sturr’s Christmas show in 1998 and 1999. His favorite musical theater roles include “Juan Peron” in EVITA, “Colonel Gilweather’’ in SOMETHING'S AFOOT, and “Marcus Lycus” in A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM done in Monroe, NY. He was selected the best supporting actor in a musical in 1992 by “The Times Herald-Record” for his creation of the character “Rhino Wino” in the original musical EARTHBOUND. Mr. Giblin’s stage career has also covered a wide range of roles in both comedies and dramas. He has played “John Hale” in THE CRUCIBLE, “Big Daddy” in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, as well as leads in THUNDER ROCK, PROMETHEUS BOUND, and THE MERCHANT OF VENICE. He recently completed a run as “Sheridan Whiteside” in THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNNER. Greg runs his own small production company. He lives with wife, Beverly. They have three sons in college.   . . . KINDERGARTEN marks his debut with Tri-State Actors Theater.
NORA HUMMEL (Nora)--  is pleased to make her TAT debut in ...KINDERGARTEN. Having recently completed the role of “Charlotte” in a New York run of BEYOND THERAPY with AYI Productions, she is happy to be portraying the calmer, saner Jill.  Recent roles include “Mrs. Gibbs” in OUR TOWN at The Bickford Theater in Morris Township, “Mrs. Greenway” (the witch) in RAPUNZEL with Grove Street Playhouse, NYC, “Kathy Khorus” in FREEZE, “Elmire” in TARTUFFE with Rabbit in the Moon, and “Wanda” in THE POWER AND THE GLORY with Bravo Theater Productions. Nora has been on SATURDAY NIGH LIVE and in the pilot television show GALACTICA CENTER  as “Mother Nature.” She would, as always, like to thank her family for their continued support and her Kindergarten teacher at Stockton School in East Orange for her hard work.
LAURENCE H. KAISER (Larry)--, a member of Actors’ Equity Association., is happy to be making his debut with TAT and wishes to thank Mary Clifford for helping make this possible. Mr. Kaiser began as a non-singing actor, receiving an MFA in theater from U.C. San Diego under Alan Schneider, and performing in over a dozen Shakespeare productions at such places as The Old Globe and Shakespeare festivals in Kentucky, Colorado and Texas, as well as a New York production of A MIDSUMMMER NIGHT'S DREAM in which he played Oberon and Theseus. Some favorite non-Shakesperian roles include “Lee” in TRUE WEST, “Barrymore” in I HATE HAMLET, “Salieri” in AMADEUS and “Dysart” in EQUUS. In recent years he has performed in musical theater, as well as sung in classical and opera choruses, most recently with the Verismo Opera Company. His roles have included “El Gallo” in THE FANTASTICKS, “Bruce” in ON THE 20TH CENTURY, “Neville” in EDWIN DROOD and he originated the role of “Wm. Thornton” in a musical adaption of THE GIFT OF THE MAGI.
Andrew Michelson (Musical Director/Narrator)--  returns to work with TAT from Florida Repertory Theater, Ft. Meyers, where he spent the past season. Andrew is an accomplished operatic and musical comedy performer. He has studied Opera Training with Dr. Scott McCoy and attended Westminister Choir College, Princeton, where he was a Voice Performance and Music Education major. He has appeared in both opera and musical comedy with the Westminister Players, including “Peter” in COMPANY, and “Dicken” in THE SECRET GARDEN. Acting with the Princeton University Players, he was featured in the musical, HELLO AGAIN. As a TAT Actor, he was “The Ghost of Christmas Present” in TAT's 1998 holiday production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. In addition, he played the title role in WINNIE THE POOH, “Brer Bear” in THE ADVENTURES OF BRER RABBIT, and “John Arable” in CHARLOTTE'S WEB. An alumnus of Wallkill Valley RHS, where he studied acting and directing with Paul Meacham for two years, Mr. Michelson was a featured actor with Ranger Repertory Theater. His roles included “Moonface Martin” in ANYTHING GOES, ensemble parts in THE GRAPES OF WRATH, “Geoffrey” in SOMETHING'S AFOOT, and “Feste” in TWELFTH NIGHT. He began directing with the Wallkill Valley Young Playwrights Festival, where he was a performer and director for four years. Last summer, Mr. Michelson supervised the training program for Tri-State's Intern Program and directed the intern production of TOM SAWYER, and he performed in THE COMPLEAT WORKS OF WLLM SHKSPR (abridged). He directed TAT’s family theater musical production of the children’s classic, THE VELVETEEN RABBIT in Season 2000..
